This is a test on how we use Xhorse Key Tool Plus&Key Renew Adapter to unlock smart key without soldering necessary. Apart from Key Tool Plus, key renew adapters are also compatible with other VVDI Key Tools (Key Tool, Key Tool Mini and Key Tool Max). Beside, key renew adapters are only for OEM circuit board, meaning the adapters do not work on aftermarket smart keys.
- Check on Xhorse app if there is an adapter available for your key
Open Xhorse app on your phone, then select
Special Function>>Remote Renew>>NISSAN>>AES SmartKey-A2C32801600-E124BTN 433MHz
Here it will show you if there is an available adapter. If not, the connection diagram below also shows you how to renew the key with Soldering Cable, including where we need to solder, on which wire we have the black/red/yellow/brown wire…

- Unlock smart key by VVDI Key Tool Plus
Here we will show you two examples: Nissan Smart Key & Dodge Smart Key. And we are going to unlock the two keys in two different ways. For Nissan, unlock key first and then read transponder; for Dodge, read transponder first, unlock key and read transponder again.
- Unlock Nissan Smart Key
Have Nissan key’s circuit board in the adapter and use the cable to connect the adapter to Key Tool Plus.
Select
Special Function>>Remote Renew>>NISSAN>>AES SmartKey-A2C32801600-E124BTN 433MHz>>Unlock, and wait…
Unlocked successfully!
Take the key out and put it in the coil.
Back to Homepage, select
Transponder Clone>>Read Transponder，
here we can see we successfully unlocked it.
- Unlock Dodge Smart Key
Put the key in the coil first. Select
Transponder Clone>>Read Transponder,
here we can see this used key is “already locked”.
Put it back to its adapter and connect the adapter to Key Tool Plus.
Back to Homepage, and select
Special Function>>Remote Renew>>Chrysler&Jeep&Dodge>>M3M Hitag2>>Unlock, and wait…
Back to Homepage and turn to Read Transponder interface as before.
Here we can see the key turns “Unlocked”.
Done!
Well, this is the correct way to unlock smart key without soldering by VVDI Key Tool Plus&Key Renew Adapter.
